ll members of the celebratory visit took an active part in all events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Twinning and visited the places which were in the focus of their attention.

SSonia Fisher,
Chair of the Newport Kutaisi Twinning Association who is a great animal lover,
was eager to find out more about the conditions of the Municipal Animal Shelter.
Her first visit was to the recently founded Kutaisi Dog Shelter,
where she was hosted by Gela Gagua,
the General Director of the Non-entrepreneurial and Non-commercial Legal Entity (NNLE) “Special Services”.

The shelter has been functioning for three months.
Many animals are taken care of by a highly qualified and skilled team of vets and they receive any type of medical treatment.
Sonia Fisher was told about the rehabilitation work done in the shelter and she was very satisfied and impressed with the picture seen.
She thanked the team of employees for their positive attitude and hard work to make the lives of homeless animals better.

Later on this day,
Sonia Fisher attended the event in the Day Centre “Magic World” for children with physical disabilities,
organized by the Women Club functioning in cooperation with the association “Women for Regional Development”.
She was impressed with the fact that the members of the centre do their utmost to create a warm and friendly environment for the children.
The KNIA Chair took part in different activities with the children and the members of the Women Club.

საპატიო სტუმარმა განახორციელა ქუთაისის სასწრაფო სამედიცინო დამხმარების ცენტრში.

After the visit to the Day Centre,
Sonia Fisher joined the other members of the delegation to visit Emergency Medical Service Centre in Kutaisi where they saw the reconstructed parking lot and electrical equipment.
They were introduced to the main principles of medical service management.
The members of the Newport delegation praised the Centre staff for their hard work and commitment.
