Reception in the office of Kutaisi Newport International Association
sაზეიმო კვირეულის ერთ-ერთი მნიშვნელოვანი ღონისძიება იყო 16 ივნისს ნიუპორტის დელეგაციისა და ბრიტანეთის სრულუფლებიანი ელჩის საქართველოში,
ალექსანდრა ჰოლ ჰოლის ვიზიტი ქუთაისი ნიუპორტის საერთაშორისო ასოციაციის ოფისში.

ne of the most important events of the celebration week was a reception of the Newport Delegation and the British Ambassador in Georgia Alexandra Hall Hall in the Office of the KNIA.

აზეიმო შეხვედრა დაიწყო წიგნის „ქუთაისი და ნიუპორტი - მეგობრობის უნიკალური ისტორია“ პრეზენტაციით,
რომელიც საზეიმო ღონისძიებათა ფარგლებში გამოიცა.
იგი სტუმრებს წარუდგინეს ასოციაციის წევრებმა,
ასოცირებულმა პროფესორებმა ნათია ზვიადაძემ და ეკატერინე არჩვაძემ.
წიგნში საინტერესოდ და ნათლად არის აღბეჭდილი ყველა ის მოვლენა,
თარიღი თუ დოკუმენტი,
რაც ქუთაისისა და ნიუპორტის ამ მრავალწლიან უნიკალურ მეგობრობასა და ფასდაუდებელ თანამშრომლობასთან არის დაკავშირებული.
იგი ორენოვანია,
იწყება ქალაქ ქუთაისის მერის,
ქნიას პრეზიდენტის ბატონი შოთა მურღუიას სიტყვით,
სადაც ის დამა როზმარი ბატლერისა და პროფესორ მადონა მეგრელიშვილის დამსახურებაზე საუბრობს და ულოცავს ქუთაისსა და ნიუპორტს იუბილეს.
An important moment of the reception was the presentation of the book “Kutaisi and Newport – a unique History of Friendship”,
which was published for this special celebration.
The book was presented by the members of the association,
associate professors Natia Zviadadze and Ekaterine Archvadze.
All great work and important events,
dates and documents connected to this long-standing,
unique friendship and fruitful collaboration between Newport and Kutaisi are clearly depicted in the book.
In the opening statement of the bilingual book the Mayor of Kutaisi and the President of the KNIA,
Shota Murgulia notes the special merits of Dame Rosemary Butler and Professor Madonna Megrelishvili to the Twinning and congratulates Newport and Kutaisi on their anniversary.

ტუმრებისთვის დიდი პატივი იყო,
რომ ქნიას ოფისის შენობის მფლობელი,
ვენეციის კომისიის წევრი,
პროფესორი მინდია უგრეხელიძე დახვდა სტუმრებს და მათ მისი მამის,
საერთაშორისოდ აღიარებული იურისტისა და განმანათლებლის,
ბატონ გურამ უგრეხელიძის შექსპირის სონეტების ახალგამოცემული ქართული თარგმანი უსახსოვრა.
It was a great honour for all participants of the reception when the owner of the house of the KNIA,
a member of the Venice Commission,
professor Mindia Ugrekhelidze greeting the guests presented them with the book of Shakespeare’s sonnets translated into Georgian by his father Guram Ugrekhelidze,
an internationally recognized lawyer and educator.

ეხვედრის მეორე ნაწილში ჯერ დამა როზმარი ბატლერმა და ბრიტანეთის ელჩმა ალექსანდრა ჰოლ ჰოლმა,
შემდეგ კი ასოციაციათა თავმჯდომარეებმა მადონა მეგრელიშვილმა და სონია ფიშერმა საზეიმოდ გაჭრეს გრანდიოზული ტორტი.
პრეზენტაციის დასასრულს სტუმრებმა შეხვედრაზე წარმოდგენილ წიგნთან ერთად სხვა სამახსოვრო საჩუქრებიც მიიღეს.
სტუმრებმა სამახსოვრო ფოტოები გადაიღეს და თავიანთი აღფრთოვანება,
პატივისცემა და უაღრესად დადებითი შთაბეჭდილებები გამოხატეს მასპინძლების,
ქნიას ოფისში ვიზიტის და ზოგადად საზეიმო ღონისძიებების მიმართ.
At the end of the meeting,
first Dame Rosemary Butler and the British Ambassador,
Alexandra Hall Hall,
and then the Chairs of the Associations,
Madonna Megrelishvili and Sonia Fisher cut the celebration cake.
At the end of the presentation,
the guests received the books and other memorable souvenirs.
Then they took photos and shared their excitement,
respect and great impressions on the visit with the hosts.
