The ties of twinning between Kutaisi and Newport are being strengthened.
A new link has been developed between Newport Llanwern High School Newport and Kutaisi Public School №23.
The aim of the link is enabled young people in Kutaisi and Newport to get to know each other,
learn more about the cultures of these two countries and share the experience.
The first project within the link looked at public art in Newport,
Georgia and Barcelona.
The participants were given 6 weeks to prepare the presentations.
We would like to share the videos prepared by the kids from Year 7 in Llanwern and Grade 10 in Kutaisi.
The next project for the students is to look at the work of local artists.
After this they will be sharing the music of each other’s country.
We would like to thank the school authorities and the two teachers Jess Newell from Llanwern High and Tamta Kharabadze from Kutaisi Public School №23 for the work they have put in and their incredible enthusiasm which they have passed on to the students."
ქუთაისსა და ნიუპორტს შორის დაძმობილების კავშირები მყარდება.
ნიუპორტის ლანვერნის სკოლასა და ქუთაისის №23 საჯარო სკოლას შორის ახალი კავშირი დამყარდა.
პროექტის მიზანია ქუთაისელ და ნიუპორტელ ახალგაზრდებს საშუალება მისცეს გაიცნონ ერთმანეთი,
გაიგონ მეტი ამ ორი ქვეყნის კულტურების შესახებ და გაუზიარონ ერთმანეთს გამოცდილება.
პირველი პროექტის თემა გახლდათ ქუჩის მხატვრობა ნიუპორტში,
საქართველოსა და ბარსელონაში.
მონაწილეებს მიეცათ 6 კვირა პრეზენტაციების მოსამზადებლად.
გვინდა გაგიზიაროთ ლანვერნის მე-7 და ქუთაისის მე-10 კლასის მოსწავლეების მიერ მომზადებული ვიდეოები.
შემდეგი პროექტი მიეძღვნება ადგილობრივ ხელოვანებს.
ეს ნიშნავს,
რომ მოსწავლეებს საშუალება ექნებათ უფრო ახლოს გაიცნონ ნიუპორტელი და ქუთაისელი არტისტები.
გვინდა მადლობა გადავუხადოთ ორივე სკოლი ადმინისტრაციას და ორ მასწავლებელს ჯესს ნეველს ნიუპორტის ლანვერნის სკოლიდან და თამთა ხარაბაძეს ქუთაისის 23-ე საჯარო სკოლიდან გაწეული შრომისთვის და წარმოუდგენელი ენთუზიაზმისთვის,
რომელიც მოსწავლეებს გადასცეს.
